Industridoktorn can perform analyses of thermosetting plastic samples and processes, including water content, mixing ratios, residual monomers, additives or curing agents, as well as residual solvents or similar substances in the finished product. We can also perform measurements and sampling of emissions from the product or from various stages of the process, for example as part of environmental permitting procedures.
Simulation of individual process steps can be carried out on a smaller scale in the laboratory for process optimization and troubleshooting, such as mixing processes, different curing temperatures, and washing steps for tools and equipment.
Common techniques include FTIR, GC-MS, LC-MS, and Karl Fischer (KF) titration using the oven method. Fluorescence or Raman spectroscopy can also be used for certain applications.
