Erdna is under development!
Our sewage systems can be full of contagious substances. During the covid 19 pandemic we learnt that the virus content in the water can reveal how large the spread och the disease is in the population. A robotic system called Erdna is now being developed, with which you beforehand can warn for coming breakouts, prevent larger spread and take samples automatically when virus levels changes.
Erdna is our most advanced surviellance robot. With this robot measurements of the content of infectious substances is performed by automatic cleaning and filtration of samples followed by extraction of DNA or RNA, subsequently followed by a qPCR function for detection of specific organisms.
